Introducing the 14th Limited Edition Collectible Starlight Bear,
Sunshine, designed by Noah!
Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada and long-time partner, Toys“R”Us Canada, have come together once again to help a seriously ill child create their very own unique bear, from the ears all the way to the paws. This year, the lucky Starlight child selected to design the 14th Limited Edition Collectible Starlight Bear for 2022 was 5-year-old Noah!
Resilient Noah was diagnosed with several congenital heart defects (CHDs) before she was even born. By the time she was just six months old, Noah had already undergone eight surgeries – including two open-heart procedures, where additional complications required her to have a tracheostomy. Despite all the challenges that she has faced at only 5 years old, Noah has grown into a vibrant little girl who lives life with plenty of laughter and bright smiles.
Sunshine was inspired by Noah’s radiant personality, much like the sun! The bear’s purple bow and paw accents represents Noah’s favourite colour, while also matching her purple speaking valve — a small device on her trachea that helps her vocalize with her family and friends. A lover of hearts due to Noah’s many CHD diagnoses, Sunshine’s heart patch represents all the obstacles she has had to overcome at such a young age.
Available in-store or online thanks to Toys”R”Us Canada and Babies”R”Us Canada, proceeds from the sale of Sunshine will help Starlight Canada continue to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families, just like Noah’s.
