Dear Starlight Supporter,

We hope that you and your loved ones are safe. These are truly unsettling times, with the situation changing on a daily, if not hourly basis, and we are dedicated to providing a sense of normalcy in the lives of the Starlight children and families.

First and foremost, we would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters for their continued support and for embracing the virtual gala concept. Many of you reached out to us wanting to participate and contribute and we are honoured to be able to count on you for your support. Thanks to you, we know you will be there for us and our children when we hold the virtual gala.

Starlight Children’s Foundation^® Canada has always prided itself on being needs-based and we are all pulling together to work on virtual programs to help hospitals and families across the country. Just this weekend, we put on a virtual show on Facebook Live and as you can see by this video, Tyson and his siblings were very happy to watch!

In the interim, we have made the decision to temporarily postpone our virtual gala. Instead our focus will be creating new distractive programs, like the Facebook Live show, to work around the current challenges and provide children and their families a little joy and some much needed smiles when they need it more than ever.

Our thoughts extend to all Canadians and we trust that you are all doing your part to keep yourselves, your family and those around you safe. Remember to also find the time to smile or find a moment of joy with your loved ones as you are allowing us to do for our Starlight children.

We will keep you posted on when our virtual gala will take place. Together, we will emerge stronger and better!
