Toys“R”Us Canada helping Canadian families stuck at home
Toys“R”Us Canada refuses to let COVID-19 stand in the way of bringing joy and laughter to families across Canada. Determined to keep their Let’s Play Canada mantra alive during these trying times, Toys“R”Us Canada is leading by example and encouraging families to stay at home, by making it easy for them to play at home.
Their new Stay at Home Play Packs, designed for children of all ages, are bringing the power of play home to Canadian families during these difficult times. Available for shipment online, these packages range from arts and crafts to gaming experiences to help keep children’s imaginations growing while out of school!
More than that, they have launched their very own “Wash Your Hands Challenge” to encourage families to enjoy themselves while staying safe. Washing your hands has never been so much fun, as kids and families all across the country have their own handwashing dance parties thanks to Toys“R”Us Canada!
As partners of ours for over 21 years, we have always been inspired by their commitment to the entire community. Their Let’s Play Canada mantra doesn’t only apply to their customers. As community leaders, their passion for creating joy and laughter extends deeply into the lives of seriously ill children and their families – from hospital to home. Our recently launched Play From Home program was inspired by Toys“R”Us Canada’s concept of their Stay at Home Play Packs. Our immunocompromised children may be confined to home, but Toys“R”Us Canada has reminded us that it doesn’t mean we can’t bring the fun directly into their living room.
Not only that, but Toys“R”Us Canada helped us launch this new program by donating 300 Play From Home Packs themselves! Thanks to their support, children all across the country got to build their very own bear families through a virtual, national event!
Lead live by Captain Starlight with special guest L’il John, Starlight families across the country shared tons of laughs as they built their own teddy bears and interacted with one another.
“Thank you so much Starlight Canada and Toys“R”Us Canada for everything you do,” a Starlight parent shared. “You all are a definite bright spot in our lives in isolation.”
