Buckle up! Drive For Smiles (D4S) Toronto is back to give families with sick children another adrenaline-packed day around the track at Toronto Motorsports Park!
Now in its 8th year, Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada and Title Sponsor, Autostrada Magazine, will be taking the track on Saturday, August 19, 2023, for this highly anticipated automotive fundraiser! Voted as our #1 event by Starlight kids and families, kids of all ages and abilities will enjoy a day of cruising as co-pilots owners of luxury cars, such as Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and McLarens.
Among this year’s attendees is 11-year-old Khushi, who lives with joint stiffness and muscle weakness. Due to her diagnoses, Khushi relies on her wheelchair and is unable to do daily tasks like eating or getting dressed on her own. Through D4S, Khushi will be able to forget about her worries for a moment, and enjoy the ride.
Last year, D4S Toronto raised over $89,000 for Starlight Canada’s vital hospital to home programs. Now, we are continuing our efforts in spreading even more hope to our community’s most vulnerable, just like Khushi.
Helping make this possible are our D4S Toronto co-chairs, Sven and Kyle Grabke. This father and son duo are leading by example as they continue to share their passion for cars to help create unique experiences for Starlight families.
“Having the opportunity to share my passion through D4S and, more importantly, potentially pass on some motivation, inspiration and hope to the children and families at Starlight Canada is an opportunity that I will never forgo,” shared Kyle.
Sven added that, “If you are lucky enough to have the ability to help, even for a moment, how could you not?”
Meanwhile, Title Sponsor, Autostrada Magazine, and its co-publishers, Sean Patrick and Lucas Scarfone, are gathering friends and experienced drivers from the automotive community to make D4S Toronto an unforgettable event for all.
